Vision
Please explain what you hope to gain by participating in RYLA.
I hope to get out of my comfort zone and meet new people, as well as make memories that I will remember years later. Leadership is an amazing lifetime skill to have, so I hope to improve this skill if I get to attend and to, later, utilize it when I’m older and on my own.
Rotary’s motto is “service above self.” What does that mean to you?
To me, this means that I can go out and learn all the skills I need to be a successful leader, but there’s no point in being a leader if you’re not helping your team work towards a goal that is above your own needs.
