Vision

Please explain what you hope to gain by participating in RYLA.

I hope to learn how to work with different groups of people, even those with opposing views. I want to gain new friends and experiences through camp. I wish to learn about new leadership skills that I can practice while at camp and use when I go back to school. I will take what I learn from RYLA on my Youth Exchange to Argentina this fall.

Rotary’s motto is “service above self.” What does that mean to you?

We have to serve others and treat others better than we treat ourselves. I use this motto when volunteering at Kool-Aid Days and helping with running events at Central Community College and when welcoming the exchange students to my school.
