Please explain what you hope to gain by participating in RYLA.

By participating in RYLA, I hope to gain stronger leadership skills such as working with others, building ideas with those around me, and learning to take initiative of a situation while applying inputs from my peers. I would also like to gain stronger communication skills. I struggle from time to time with communication skills, especially with those I might not be as comfortable around.

Rotary’s motto is “service above self.” What does that mean to you?

Service above self means providing for the community and giving to those around you. Putting your community’s needs above yourself is what that means to me.

– Picking up concession stand shifts for activities (Junior class fundraising, cross country, musical, one-act)
