Why do you want serve in the positions you’ve selected?

I would like to serve in either of the positions because I believe I make a positive impact to those around me, and I want to help future campers at RYLA have a fun experience. I am extroverted and would be happy to help lead campers and help them to discover their own potential as a leader. As a photographer I would be happy to interact with the campers and capture everything that is memorable at RYLA next summer. I want to be a photographer so that I can watch everyone at camp have fun and make sure they have good pictures to keep.

How has your experience as RYLA participante impacted you?

My experience at RYLA impacted me by inspiring me to become more involved in the community, and apply for more leadership roles that allow me to serve other people. Although I am busy with a lot of things, RYLA taught me how to lead and help others in all of my activities. I made a lot of great relationships with people from RYLA as well, and I hope if I can be a junior counselor or a photographer then I can help make an impact on other campers so that they know how to be a leader in their lives.

How do you feel you can contribute and grow RYLA?

I can contribute to RYLA because I have a very energetic and happy personality. I like to talk to people and I would be a positive influence to the campers. I want to build memorable relationships with the campers so that they have a good experience. As a junior counselor I think I would be able to give good advice to the campers, as I have had a lot of different life experiences that I was able to overcome. These experiences would allow me to grow closer to the campers and make a meaningful impact that they won’t forget.
