Vision
Please explain what you hope to gain by participating in RYLA.
Something I hope to achieve by attending RYLA Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Camp is to strengthen my leadership skills. One thing that I struggle with is leadership and as a person, I really want to improve on these skills before college. With my future job and all its requirements, leadership is key to being successful. another thing I would like to do at this camp is meet more people and creating possible life long friendships.
Rotary’s motto is “service above self.” What does that mean to you?
“Service above self” means to put other peoples needs above your own. For instance, I work at the local grocery store in Arapahoe and our main goal is to make the customer feel welcomed and give them a positive experience.
Past and Current Experience

Last mid April, there was a mass destructive fire that roared from north Wilsonville to South of Harry Strunk Lake. Cambridge and Holbrook Residents were forced to evacuate. Many people went to the Arapahoe Public School Gym for protection. I was there from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. helping people that were flooding in be as comfortable as possible. Some stuff I did there was making beds, feeding disabled people, and rolling out wrestling mats for overflow sleeping.
