Please explain what you hope to gain by participating in RYLA.
I hope to gain more of the confidence and leadership skills that are necessary in my community and any activity I currently partake in or anything i will do in the future. As well as important skills, I want to make memories and friends that are outside of my community, I want to pick up great habits and learn to better myself.
Rotary’s motto is “service above self.” What does that mean to you?
To me, service above self means to know when to put away materialistic objects and wants and focus on what can help a community, group, or organization as a whole. It means to spend time and energy on what you as an individual think is for the best. To engage with a group to do what needs done.
