Please explain what you hope to gain by participating in RYLA.
I hope to improve my leadership skills, to meet and work with other community minded young people, and to have a fun week at camp.
Rotary’s motto is “service above self.” What does that mean to you?
I believe that this motto means working to put the needs of your community above your own needs. Further, I believe it obligates us to constantly strive to make our communities better places to live.

I have volunteered with my CYO group over the last two years to host community breakfasts and pick up trash along side the highway. I have volunteered with my high school class last spring picking up trash around our local parks. Finally, growing up, I have been involved with numerous volunteer activities around my community while working with my parents.
