Please explain what you hope to gain by participating in RYLA.

I hope to gain experience with people. I want to be able to talk to people better, when it comes to people I tend to go quiet. I also hope to make some more friends and meet new people.

Rotary’s motto is “service above self.” What does that mean to you?

It means to put others above yourself. For example, if there is one piece of candy left in the jar and there were two people wanting one, you should offer it to them.

Past and Current Experience

Have you ever volunteered before? – Yes

List any past or present volunteer experiences including dates volunteered and position responsibilities.

07-04-23 – Help at a Fourth of July fair, I help monitor the bouncy houses when they needed to be watched.
10-14-23 – I helped at our church’s halloween event. This was putt golf and I had to help the golfers if they needed it.
Every Saturday – Every Saturday I go to the Grant Vet Clinic and volunteer to take the dogs out to the dog park.

06-21-25 – I am a CNA at the hospital. I take vitals and care for the patients.
11-18-22 – I worked at Pronto which is a gas station. I had to face and stock the coolers, as well as sweep and mop them.
1-15-20 – I worked at Hatch’s which is a grocery store. I had to face the shelves, mop the floors and clean up things.
