Please explain what you hope to gain by participating in RYLA.

I hope to bring the things that I learn at RYLA and bring them back to my club and help incorporate them.

Rotary’s motto is “service above self.” What does that mean to you?

To me I take it as to help another even when you don’t want to. To help another without having to be told to do or forced to do the job.

Past and Current Experience

Have you ever volunteered before? – Yes

List any past or present volunteer experiences including dates volunteered and position responsibilities.

I have help with the Buck Skinner race and the Buffalo chip toss for two year both being in early July first one on July 13, 2024 and the second on July 12, 2025. I helped guide runners to the finish and then for the toss I helped take measurements and give out awards.
I have also have participated in the dictionary drive where we give 3rd graders dictionaries to use on October 2, 2025. Then helped at the Primary school block party painting faces to help raise money for a new playground for the primary school on September 19,2025. I also help do both of Chadron highschool’s winter formal by helping set up and take down on the dates February 28, 2025 and February 27, 2026. I even help set up the Easter egg hunt by laying out eggs for the children to find on April 19,2025.I also volunteered my time at trunk or treat giving out candy to kids and helping run the small mini game that we had set up on October 26, 2025. These are what I have currently done by the date of March 31, 2026.

I am currently walking a dog for a friend. I started this job February 9th 2026 walking the dog every day in the afternoon around 2 to 3 o’clock. Responsibilities of picking up after the dog when it goes to the bathroom and to get the dog as tired as possible so the dog is tired for when my friend is gone. The other job I have had is running the rake tractor during the summer for the last 3 years starting in mid June and ending early August. Responsibilities of making sure to run all rows through the rake to get the most out of the field as possible.

I have received many awards for the sports that I have done. Another award that I have received is from Kiwanis for having a gpa of a 4.0.

I participated in interact, wrestling, speech, math club, FBLA, one acts, softball, volleyball, basketball, and track. I currently only participate in interact, wrestling, speech, math club, FBLA, and one acts. The rest of the things ended up over lapping with other extra curriculars I am apart of.
