Please explain what you hope to gain by participating in RYLA.

From joining RYLA, I hope to gain leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. I hope to form new connections with others and be able to bring back home the new skills I have obtained to help my own community.

Rotary’s motto is “service above self.” What does that mean to you?

The phrase “service above self” to me means being selfless. It means helping out when others can’t. I believe that it means to put in work to help others instead of taking the “easy” route.

Ringing bells 1hr Salvation Army November 9th of freshman year 11/9/24 (for student council)

1 hr discovery center fossil day: helping children create fossils and excavate them (interact club)

1hr ringing bells Salvation Army 11/9/25 (student council)

2hr Edgewood 11/22/25 (I planned to meet with other interact members and play card games with some of the residents at Edgewood)

2 hours pipe and drape 2/22/26, at the Pierre Ramkota, consisted of taking down numerous booths from a convention. (Interact)

2 hours feeding sd 2/26/26. Myself and other interact members packaged 600 boxes of food.

1 hour discovery center 2/28/26. I helped at a booth to teach children how to make a craft.

I currently am employed at Drifters Bar and Grille. I have worked there since March of 2024. I am currently a hostess and I work on the expo line. This consists of me taking out food, serving customers, telling the kitchen what to make, and garnishing/inspecting all dishes before they go out.

I have been on the 4.00 honor roll prior to 7th grade and every year since then.
