Vision
Please explain what you hope to gain by participating in RYLA.
One of my main goals is to gain leadership skills, such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. and decision-making, through interactive workshops and group activities. I also personally hope to gain more confidence.
Rotary’s motto is “service above self.” What does that mean to you?
What this motto means to me personally is putting the needs of others before my own personal interests. This would be things such as volunteering, helping others, and making positive contributions to the community without expecting anything form anyone in return for that.

Barista at Lasso Espresso (August 2023-2026)
I am responsible for preparing and serving coffee and other beverages while providing good customer service in a coffee shop. My main duties include making drinks such as espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, and teas using coffee machines and other equipment. I also take customer orders, handle payments, and make sure that every drink that I make is prepared correctly and served as quickly as possible. I also make sure that the shop stays clean by doing dishes, cleaning the machines, wiping down the counters, sweeping and mopping the floors, and keeping the area organized to find things easily. I also restock supplies when they are brought in, such as coffee beans, milk, cups, syrups, and sometimes even have to prepare some food items. My most important responsibilty in my opinion, is maintaining a welcoming atmosphere where customers feel comfortable.
