Please explain what you hope to gain by participating in RYLA.

I hope to build friendships with other people who value serving others and being involved in their community. I would like to learn ways others serve their hometown and their community so I can be a strong community member.

Rotary’s motto is “service above self.” What does that mean to you?

Serving others should come first before thinking about myself. I always want to strive to help as many people as I can and be the best person I can be. I try to be selfless in everything I do, and I try to always represent the best of my community by serving others.
