Vision
Please explain what you hope to gain by participating in RYLA.
Through RYLA, I hope that I can learn more about my own abilities, such as leadership. I hope to gain more confidence in my leadership. My goals for participating in RYLA are that I will be able to branch out and make new friends and develop a stronger voice for myself.
Rotary’s motto is “service above self.” What does that mean to you?
Service about self is one that I deeply resonate with because I have always believed in helping others to the best of my ability. I have always had a passion for helping people, and I feel that it is most rewarding when I get to put a smile on others’ faces. In all past experiences, whether in community service or in summer jobs at medical offices, I have gotten to help all different types of people and learned that doing what I can to make others feel better, happier, or more comfortable is worth all the time it takes.
